Steps:
- Reach out to your principal. Have a clear idea of what cause you want to support, what you want to collect, and why.
- Pick a date, and make sure you have lots of time! Choosing a date at least a month away will give you more time to make your community aware of your drive and your cause. Having a drive last a few days, or even a week, is another good way to make sure you get as many donations as possible.
- Get the word out! Make an announcement at your school, send out emails to people, and make posters and flyers (with the consent of your school). Do your best to make sure that every person at your school knows about the drive.
- Have your drive! Make sure that the donation bins are clearly labeled and easily found within your school. Having the bins at the front desk is a great way to make the donations easy to find, and seeing the bins will inspire more people to bring in supplies.
- Donate your supplies!
